Best Valentine’s books for babies & toddlers

Writer's picture: discerningdanediscerningdane

As Valentine’s Day approaches, it is always a blast to add a couple cute love-themed books into your home’s rotation. While our seasonal book table still has some wintertime classics out, we’ve added our Valentine’s books and are getting ready for February 14th!

1. I Wheelie love you

This is seriously cute. It’s short and silly, and has funny puns that amuse adults moreso than the intended audience… find it here!

2. Little Blue Truck Valentine

This series is very sweet; we enjoy some of the variations more than others and this is one that I recommend. Find it here! We like the hardcover versions of these as they’re nice and sturdy and relatively unbreakable for small ones.

3. Llama llama … I Love You

Can’t go wrong with a cute little llama llama valentine book! We got this from the library last year; probably best for 1-3 year olds in my opinion!

4. Love from Madeleine

One of our favorite characters has a Valentines season book! We’re getting this one to add to the seasonal table this year - will report back with experience!

5. Mommy I Love You (Priddy Books)

We picked this up at a Whole Foods when our oldest was around six months old and it has held up pretty well. It has some truly adorable little moving parts, and shows animal mamas and babes in their habitats. Highly recommend! Find it here

6. Ending with a classic - Guess how much I love you

This is always a sweet tale to include for Valentine’s Day - a lovely story about the boundlessness of love - A classic for a reason!
